The Yuma Air Show

I understand that all of you come to the web site to see pictures of Ayden, so I put this one up to fulfill my obligation, however below you will see photos from the Yuma Air Show that Kate and I went to yesterday. I took lots of pictures of Jeremy's plane, the Harrier, to share.

This is what happens if we leave him on the floor to talk himself to sleep. Sucking his thumb and balancing on his side... it is quite impressive.

Tummy time is going much better :) He was so comfortable here.

Ayden's trip to Texas

The Osborne's just returned from a weekend away in Texas, where Ayden had his first official swimming lesson. From the pictures I have seen, it looks like he enjoyed himself.

Kind of dark, but mom is teaching Ayden the dependable "reach and pull" strategy.

I am not sure why, but some of Ayden's best photos are upside down ones.

Those that are keeping track.... we had another significant earthquake today - 5.0. They are such a bizarre thing to experience. I was working in my classroom today after the kids left and the room started swaying, and the creaking from the walls sounded like the door was opening and closing. Knowing they are not doing any damage and no one is getting hurt, its kind of an exciting experience.

Dad was being attacked by Ayden's friend Marilyn.... Ayden was saving himself, dad was on his own.

I love this photo because while Kate was changing him on the floor, he was trying to watch the TV that was behind him. He'll do anything to see lights and colors, not to mention movement and sound.

Ayden has been anti-pacifiers lately. Who knows if this will stick, or what, but he just does not have much desire to learn to like them.

This is Ayden's new thing. Every time he sees himself in the mirror he gets genuinely excited. Note the parents in the background - equally excited :)

The cacti are starting to change colors a bit with the warmer weather. This was one in our neighbors front yard. On a side note in the last four days we have felt three significant earthquakes. And by significant I mean, we can definitely feel them, but in our area they haven't done any damage. Just a new thing to experience. Little 'ole me from Michigan has never even given much thought to earthquakes, so I appreciated the staff meeting we had this morning telling me what to do with the kids. We'll keep you posted with any more quakes.

For all of you in the midwest, with snow on the ground, I almost feel bad for telling you that it ws 83 degrees here today. Ayden and I took a walk... looks like it was really rough for him huh?

Bath Time

If you remember back 12 or so weeks ago, Ayden did not *love* his bath time. These next few photos are proof that he is over that. And just in case you didn't know, bath time is more fun the more bubbles you have. He can be screaming all night, and as soon as it is bath time, this is how he looks - content and calm, and generally enjoying himself. We are going to get him to a swimmer/water polo player, I can just tell.
