Ayden *LOVES* his bath time. He can be at a complete meltdown status, and if I ask if he wants to take a bath, and he immediately lights up. Here is the sequence of events.
After dinner, and completely melting down.
Mom: "Ayden do you want to take a bath?"
Ayden: Running over with a smile
Wash your arms.
Happy Boy!
Ayden learning to blow bubbles! We're ready for Florida!
I have found that trying to cook dinner with Ayden running around is very difficult, so I decided to enlist his help. We cleaned green beans on the floor. (Don't worry I washed them twice :))
This was after we broke the ends off, and Ayden decided they would look much better spilled on the floor.
Ayden picking up the mess he made. Even throwing the beans away! He is really starting to understand what I am asking him to do. It is so fun to watch the development!
It seems as though Ayden has grown several inches in the last few weeks, probably most noticeably, he is now able to stretch and reach things on the counter top. I caught him in action getting ready for a bath.... We're in trouble now!
Aunt Heather and Aunt Carrie called tonight, and Ayden wanted to tell them all about his new friends at school. Jeremy and I couldn't stop laughing because Ayden just walked around the house babbling all about his day. When he was finished, he put the phone back in my purse. I better watch what I do, it seems we have a little mimic.
I have found a temporary solution for our childcare dilema, and I reported to work today. Ayden did great, except he didn't sleep at all. Here's what he wanted to do when we arrived home.
I really have seen it all.... tonight we were watching T.V. and started seeing several businesses, schools, and daycare announcing that tomorrow they would be closed. I couldn't understand why, but when the news came on I discovered that if there is even a threat of snow, places shut down around here. The Michigan folks can appreciate the humor I found in the somewhat *premature* closings.
Note*** Trace To 1''
I couldn't help but to take a picture of the T.V. screen :)
Unfortunately we had to go to Florida this weekend, Jeremy's uncle Danny Hull passed away. While it was a trip for less-than-ideal circumstances, it was nice to see all of Jeremy's family again. There is a cow pasture in back of Aunt Rosalie's house, and Ayden loved to watch the cows. I think he would have ran right under the gate if we would have let him!
Sorry for the lack of posts the last couple of weeks. I promise to get better as things slow down. We did find a house, and are beginning the painstaking process of unpacking. It's funny how much longer unpacking and organizing can take with a 14 month old. Here are some random pictures! Happy January! Ayden has discovered how to climb on the couch, I caught him playing with the broken DVR. Here is how the conversation went.
Mom: "Ayden what are you doing?"
Ayden: "mmmm hiiiiiiiii"
We're really getting close to being able to come up with *real excuses*
The sea of boxes, I'm happy to report, that we have made it through the pile in the kitchen, now on to the other rooms.
The moving company *lost* our box springs... so here we lie in the middle of the dining room.
As a reminder that the holidays are officially over, Jeremy had to shave his beard, and go back to work. We *officially* move into our house tomorrow, so pictures will be coming shortly.
