Happy Thanksgiving Weekend

Kate and I were very grateful for a get away this weekend up in Tucson --- Ayden was thankful for the s'mores on the patio he got to make.  Other than an almost one year old not sleeping *at all* during the nights, we had a great time.  At least this resort had plenty of sidewalks, and long hallways to walk at all hours of the night.  I (Heather) may or may not have had a run-in with a javelina at 4:00a.m. while walking the grounds with Kinnley.  I have never ran faster away from that man-eating creature like I did that night.  Chalk it up to a fun holiday weekend.

Today was the day everyone was dreading.... but it is also the day #1 marked off the calendar.  Ayden and Kinnley got to watch daddy take off and wave his wings as he headed "to the boat."  God bless all Military families tonight and every night.

Vacation to the Pacific Northwest

It's really hard to say what we enjoyed most during our trip to Oregon/Washington.  Was it the great friends whom we haven't seen in a couple of years?  Was it the fantastic family friendly Children's Museum?  Was it the stunning landscape?  Was it the local microbrew beer?  Oh wait... it was everything.  We all had a fantastic time and couldn't have asked for a better week.  We certainly can't wait to visit again!
