As just an indicator for all you northerners that don't believe me when I say people down here go *CRAZY* when it snows. This following paragraph was taken from the local news website. It is a CLASSIC illustration of life here... :) HA! I hope you laugh as much I as did and then enjoy the pictures of me being an *awful* mother and letting Ayden play in and explore the snow...
"I will NOT be letting my kids out in the snow! No way will I risk their health that way. I am responsible to keep them safe from threats and harm and I will not take the chance of them getting an earache or cold or flu or pneumonia. And I won't let them risk falling down and busting their nose or getting a scrape or bruise or worse a sprain or broken bone. They are my beloved children, and I won't see them doing anything that will possibly result in their harm. They won't be going anywhere. I gave them some hot chocolate tonight, and some vanilla wafers. They are snuggled in their beds, warm and safe. I hope the power doesn't go out, but if it does I will keep them warm with my own body heat if I have to. I will not see them harmed by cold. At least I know I have been a good and caring parent today, unlike some of you that seem so eager to risk your children's safety and health. I'd be ashamed. I am proud to protect my own. It's what mommies do. Are you doing it, parents? I hope so."
Hot chocolate afterwards!

Happy Valentines Day...Looks like Ayden had a wonderful time in the snow...I wonder what St. Patrick's Day holds for the weather?
I am glad you were able to go outside and get some fresh air, and its a good thing you had all the snow boots, hats, and mittens.
Love you both,
m
I am personally glad you are such a terrible parent. God doesn't make snow to look at, he makes it to play in! Love the photos of the trees. Enjoy the "dangerous" outdoors!
Ditto to the previous comments! Snow is wonderful (until you have to drive in it)! Just what kids of all ages need to forget all the rest of the yukkey stuff! Have fun and enjoy, enjoy!

I cannot believe that is real! How funny! I say let Ayden enjoy as much time in the snow as he likes...Amy
I have been wondering how you all have been doing since the "big storms". I am so glad Ayden got to enjoy some snow : ) It is amazing how they completly shut down in the South when the fear of or snow does come. The storms have been and continue to keep us busy here at work. Talk soon.
Seriously??!! You didn't just make that up? I truly can't believe it. I'm going to use this article and have my second graders read it and laugh :). This IS what good mothers do all over "snow country".
Love,
Judy & Denny
PS
Ayden looks quite healthy :).
